characterizes the element in some sense, using any convenient classification scheme or typology.
Possible values
baptism
(Baptism) Identifies the selected date as date of baptism.

(Performance) Identifies the selected date as date of performance.
editor
(editor) Identifies the selected date as reconstructed by an editor.

(source) Identifies the selected date as written on a source.

calendar opt
indicates the system or calendar to which the date represented by the content of this element belongs.
Possible values
Julian
