Espero hayas recibido la carta que
te envié con mi amiga de Gallimard.
Ella es la esposa de Julio Cortázar. Yo
Leo
*
podía‡ hacerlo, creo
yo. (Rogelio is out of town but he knows
that I have ‡ a letter for him.*
We spoke by the phone
and he felt awfully happy).
Ciao brother. Miguel
SOS
Caro
Fausto: En carta anterior yo
le pedí a
Hans
unos
¡No tan

I hope you received the letter I sent you with my friend from Gallimard
.
She is Julio Cortázar’s wife. I know all about the success of the work in Avignon. I am very happy for everyone and for Cuba. It has not been well reported here. I only have the power to write an article in the Gaceta
Literaria, which is not much. It would be good if you wrote to Prensa Latina or to the newspaper Granma.
Leo could do it, I think. (Rogelio is out of town but he knows that I have a letter for him. We spoke by the phone and he felt awfully happy).
Ciao brother. Miguel
SOS Dear Fausto: In my previous letter I had asked Hans for some sunglasses. I didn’t send the prescription because it was lost. Now I have found the old prescription, so could you buy them for me?
Brown would be nice, like the colour of Hans’ glasses. But I would like the frame to be big and more or less square. Not as big as yours, please, but bigger than Hans’. Thanks, Faustino.

Sibrain told me you were doing very well in Paris.
I can already imagine you sitting in a Café in red velvet trousers and a white embroidered shirt and lots of flowing scarves … The most beautiful in the world!
