ref (hendiVar)

<ref> (reference) defines a reference to another location, possibly modified by additional text or comment.

Attributes
type opt
characterizes the element in some sense, using any convenient classification scheme or typology.
Possible values
footnoteAnchor
Marks the footnote sign within the text.
hyperLink
Marks some passage within the text that acts as a hyperlink to an external resource on the internet.
previousLetterFromAddressee
Marks the (or a) preceding letter in the correspContext element, i.e. the letter to which the current is the reply.
nextLetterFromAddressee
Marks the (or a) following letter in the correspContext element, i.e. the letter which is a reply to the current.
target req
specifies the destination of the reference by supplying one or more URI References.
