"… Around 22 August 1979"The stamp attests that the postcard was sent to Henze from Freiburg on 26 August 1976. It was not sent by Barnet himself, but by someone who had personally transported the correspondence from Cuba to Germany. This implies that Barnet wrote the letter to Cuba a few days earlier, probably around 22 August 1979.

"… will be for Rogelio ."The correspondence between Henze and Rodríguez has not been located and does not seem to have been preserved, however it appears from letters with Barnet and Henze’s autobiography that the two tried to keep in touch. In his Autobiography, p. 378, Henze writes that in spring 1979 Rodríguez complained that Henze did not write him.
